Confidentiality & Privacy: Clutter Free Me Hampshire offers a confidential service and will not divulge any information to a third party without your approval. If you are kind enough to give a testimonial and/or photographs they will be used only with your prior consent.
Advice: All advice given, is given in good faith. It is always your own decision whether or not to follow any advice given. We accept no responsibility for your actions and any consequences of these. From time to time, we may handle items which have a potentially high market value. While we will always do our best endeavour to identify such items amongst your possessions, you acknowledge that we are not valuers, nor do we have expertise to identify items of special value or rarity, nor are we qualified to advise on valuation matters for insurance purposes.
Working Practices: We are happy to undertake some light cleaning to assist the decluttering and reorganising process, we do not provide a cleaning service. We cannot move or lift very large items of furniture for Health and Safety reasons. If this is required, it may be sensible to arrange a willing volunteer.
Payment Terms: We charge an hourly rate for decluttering to the nearest 15 minutes. Working hours are calculated from the time we arrive at your home or premises until the time we leave including any breaks. Additional time for disposing of items to the charity shop is not charged.
We accept cash, BACS or PayPal payments. You will be invoiced after your first session by email and payment details will be included on the invoice. Invoices are required to be paid on receipt.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are sometimes unavoidable and we appreciate being informed as early as possible. Any cancellation within 48 hours of the agreed start time will be charged at 50% of the contract price. With notice of more than 48 hours we are happy to rearrange.
We reserve the right to charge a deposit for agreed work to be carried out.
If access to your home or premises is restricted or unsafe, we reserve the right to charge for lost time and expenses incurred.
Travel Costs: Travel within 5 miles of SO53 postcodes are free of charge. Outside of this area, mileage is charged at 45p per mile.
Removal of items & Green Policy: We aim to promote recycling of your possessions wherever suitable and can offer advice on different options for appropriate disposal or sale. We endeavor to make sure that as many items as possible are repurposed and/or found new homes. These will never be sold on!
We are happy to take items to a charity shop or gift exchange, space in the car allowing. Additional removal requiring a tip run is charged at a separate rate.
Handling goods: Although every care is taken when handling goods unfortunately, sometimes accidents may occur. We shall not be liable for losses or damage, howsoever caused, and rely on you to carry insurance at all times which adequately compensates you for losses or damage howsoever caused by us in our capacity as your agent.
Insurance: We hold a public liability and professional indemnity insurance of £1 million.
